Latisse lengthens your lashes

A new product derived from a glaucoma treatment is hitting the market. This product claims the ability to lengthen eyelashes. Lumigan, an eye drop that lowers eye pressure in the eye, has an interesting side effect in that it also makes eyelashes longer, darker, and fuller. The effect can be so dramatic that some patients on the drop will visit the eye doctor to have their lashes trimmed.

If you would like more information on Latisse give us a call.

One of the side effects of Allergan (which includes Lumigan, Alphagan and Combigan) is longer lashes, but to consider drugs like this for their potential cosmetic side effects does not take into consideration the long list of adverse health effects they can have such as:

Ocular adverse events occurring in approximately 3 to 10% of patients, in descending order of incidence, included ocular dryness, visual disturbance, ocular burning, foreign body sensation, eye pain, pigmentation of the periocular skin, blepharitis, cataract, superficial punctate keratitis, eyelid erythema, ocular irritation, and eyelash darkening. The following ocular adverse events reported in approximately 1 to 3% of patients, in descending order of incidence, included: eye discharge, tearing, photophobia, allergic conjunctivitis, asthenopia, increases in iris pigmentation, and conjunctival edema. In less than 1% of patients, intraocular inflammation was reported as iritis.

Systemic adverse events reported in approximately 10% of patients were infections (primarily colds and upper respiratory tract infections). The following systemic adverse events reported in approximately 1 to 5% of patients, in descending order of incidence, included headaches, abnormal liver function tests, asthenia and hirsutism.

Drugs such as these certainly have their place in helping preserve vision when used properly.
There are also nutrients that can help preserve vision for those with glaucoma. For more related research studies, see the "Research" section at Natural Eye Care for Glaucoma Prevention

Thank you for your comment. It is indeed important to remain under the care of a physician when using this medication for any purpose.

We are excited to use this product for my receptionist. She has recently undergone cancer treatment and has lost most of her eyelashes. We are hoping that this will restore some of the appearance of her eyelashes with this product.

LADIES... I would take caution before using this product. in my opinion, the pros out weigh the cons. Side effects are dark circles, change in the color of your iris, red/itchy eyes... hmm, I would think that out weighs having more eyelashes. Not to mention, why go through the hassle of a prescription DRUG when I can purchase a safe product like Revitalash. Plus, they donate money to cancer research, and will give a FREE tube to cancer survivors!!

I haven’t try Latisse. But RevitaLash really works for me. I used to have thin lashes but when I tried the product, I now have fuller and thicker lashes. Especially when you use the mascara too.It really looks you stunning. The price is worth it!

I haven't try using Latisse. But I've been using RevitaLash for 6 weeks now, and I noticed that my lashes are getting fuller, thicker and healthier... I'll keep on using this product

Well, Revitalash has been working wonders for me. I just can’t explain how amazing the product is. I really noticed my short and dull lashes changing and ehancing naturally, looking fuller, stronger and darker after 7-8 weeks of using it. And also the main reason why i’m sticking with revitalash is the reasonable price. Not that expensive compared to other brands.

Remember, those who advocate Revitalash, that it once contained the active ingredient that used in Latisse. According to Revitalash it contains, "functional cosmetic ingredients."

I can’t imagine my lashes without this Revitalash eyelash conditioner. I only know it would be a much different, much less comforting.
